A racquet fitting, without the pro shop

How the recommendations work

1. You answer 14 questions: your level, age and build, swing speed and length, style, favorite and weakest shots, priorities, backhand, brands you like, and any arm or shoulder concerns.
2. We rule out racquets that can't work for you with firm fitting rules. For example, junior players only see junior lengths, and advanced adults don't see oversize or very light frames.
3. The rest are compared the way an experienced fitter would, weighing how weight, balance, swingweight, head size, stiffness and string pattern work together against your game. We use an AI model for this step, instructed with fitting guidelines and limited to the racquets and specs in our database. It can't invent racquets or specs.
4. You get five racquets with a fit score, the reasons, the trade-offs and who each one suits. If you already own a racquet, you'll also get an honest verdict on whether to keep it.

Where the data comes from

Specs are the measured values retailers publish: strung weight, balance, swingweight, stiffness, beam and string pattern. For racquets retailers don't cover yet, we use the specs the manufacturer publishes on its own site, marked as unstrung. Every racquet page says where its specs come from and when they were last checked, and we correct them by hand when we find an error. Pro players' racquets are only listed once we've checked them against a source, and we link to it.

Staying independent

No brand or retailer can pay to be recommended. The recommendation step doesn't know which retailers we link to or whether a link earns us anything. Affiliate links are labeled right next to the link. More in our affiliate disclosure.
